Terms of use
Last updated 1 November 2026
1. Who you're dealing with
Oh My Clerk is made by FOP Diachenko Illia (Illia Diachenko, an individual entrepreneur (FOP) registered in Ukraine), 45Zh Stryiska St, Lviv 79031, Ukraine ("we"). These terms are a contract between you and us. By downloading, installing or continuing to use the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
2. Purchases and Paddle
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle handles payment, taxes, invoices, refunds and order questions, under the Paddle Buyer Terms.
3. Trial and license
- The app works in full for 14 days from its first launch, free of charge.
- A purchase is a one-time payment, not a subscription. It gives one person a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on the Macs they use.
- A license includes updates released within one year of purchase. Versions released in that year keep working after it ends. Later versions aren't included, and they won't run on your key, including on a new Mac. If you need a version from your year, write to us.
- After the trial, without a license, new recordings and transcriptions stop. Your existing recordings stay available.
- Your license key is for you. A key may stop working if the purchase is refunded or charged back, or if the key is shared publicly.
4. Recording other people
The app records calls. You alone are responsible for using it lawfully. Laws on recording conversations differ by country and state, and many require the consent of everyone on the call. Tell the people on a call when you record them, and get their consent where the law requires it. The same applies to transcripts and voice profiles, which can be personal data, or biometric data in some places.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use the app or our website:
- for anything unlawful, including recording people secretly where that is illegal;
- for fraud or spam;
- to infringe anyone's intellectual property or other rights;
- to interfere with security: no malware, probing or scraping of our services, and no bypassing of the license check.
You also may not resell or redistribute the app, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows that.
6. Ownership
We own the app, its name and our website, and we keep all rights not expressly granted here. Third-party components are listed in the app's acknowledgements and stay under their own licenses. Your recordings and transcripts are yours.
7. Transcripts can be wrong
Transcription and speaker recognition are automatic and make mistakes. Check anything important against the recording. Don't rely on the output alone for legal, medical, financial or other high-stakes decisions.
8. No guarantees
The app and our services are provided "as is". We don't promise they will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a recording will always succeed. Your recordings live on your Mac, so keeping backups is up to you.
9. Liability
As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost recordings or data, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for your license. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
10. Suspension and termination
We may revoke a license or stop providing services to you for a material breach of these terms, non-payment, a security or fraud risk, or repeated serious violations. You can stop using the app at any time; see how to uninstall it. Refunds are covered by our refund policy (30 days).
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes apply from the date they are published and don't reduce rights you already paid for.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Ukraine. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory protections of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim there.
