Uninstall Oh My Clerk

Dragging the app to the Trash removes the app. Your recordings and the speech models stay on your Mac until you remove them too.

1. Before you remove the app

2. Remove the app

Drag OhMyClerk from Applications to the Trash. That's enough if you may come back later.

3. Remove your data

This permanently deletes your recordings, transcripts and voice profiles. Copy anything you want to keep first.

Recordings, the library and the speech models (about 619 MB) all live in one folder. To delete it, run this in Terminal:

rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/OhMyClerk

If you chose your own recordings folder in Settings, it isn't touched. Delete it yourself if you want to.

4. Remove what's left

Settings, caches, logs and the microphone and system audio permissions. These don't hold your calls:

defaults delete app.ohmyclerk.mac
rm -rf ~/Library/Caches/app.ohmyclerk.mac \
       ~/Library/HTTPStorages/app.ohmyclerk.mac* \
       ~/Library/Saved\ Application\ State/app.ohmyclerk.mac.savedState \
       ~/Library/Logs/OhMyClerk
tccutil reset Microphone app.ohmyclerk.mac
tccutil reset AudioCapture app.ohmyclerk.mac

If defaults says the domain doesn't exist, there's nothing to remove. If tccutil rejects AudioCapture, use SystemAudioCaptureRequests instead.

Your license key stays in Keychain, so a reinstall activates by itself. To remove it, open Keychain Access and delete Oh My Clerk license. You can always get the key again on the lost key page.

Microphone still muted?

If the app crashed while your microphone was muted, the mute can stay on. Open Oh My Clerk once: it turns the microphone back on when it starts. If the app is already gone, open Audio MIDI Setup (in Applications → Utilities), select your microphone, and clear Mute on the Input tab.
